Today, Nintendo had a double feature event for us. There was an Indie World as well as a Partner Showcase. The presentation included more than 45 games, including new games, updates, and free and paid DLC. By far, the biggest surprise to me, an RPG nerd, was a small teaser snuck in there for *The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st*, which Nintendo hardly even mentioned in the presentation. Even after the event, they didn’t release a separate trailer on their Nintendo of America YouTube channel, but they did on their Nintendo Japan channel.

I have been hearing about *Trails in the Sky* for years now. It was released here in the US on the PSP in 2011. If you want a copy of the game today, they’re selling for over $100 on eBay! It is available on Steam if you’re okay with having it digitally. *Trails in the Sky* is supposed to be one of the best RPGs out there. I’ve been an RPG lover for many years, so I was planning to play it eventually. I couldn’t be more excited that a full-blown remake will be coming out sometime next year.

As for other things from the presentation, all I really cared about was a couple of other RPG announcements, haha.

- *Tales of Graces f Remastered*: The [original game](https://ebay.us/Vn7OtF) was released here in the states on PlayStation 3 in 2012. Since the *Tales* games are having a resurgence in popularity in recent years, it makes sense that we’re getting a remaster of yet another one. To be honest, there are plenty of other *Tales* games stuck on old, inaccessible hardware, so I’d love to see a collection released one day. *Tales of Graces f Remastered* releases on January 17th next year.
- *Suikoden I & II HD Remaster*: This remaster was announced quite a while ago, but then the developers went silent. It’s been quite some time, so it’s great to get a release date announced. Hopefully, it’s a final date this time, and we can all play these on March 6th of next year. I loved [the originals](https://ebay.us/W4WZTM) when they came out on PlayStation, and both are, unfortunately, pretty pricey these days, too.
- *Sea of Stars – Throes of the Watchmaker DLC*: We also got a look at the new free DLC for *[Sea of Stars](https://amzn.to/4dHNTBm)*. It includes new fighting styles, new areas, new story content, and new characters. I loved how this game looked and all the care the development team put into making a nostalgic but modern RPG. It’s unfortunately still on my backlog, but perhaps with a DLC coming soon, it will encourage me to finally pick it up.

Were there any other announcements you were particularly excited about? *Yakuza Kiwami* was surprising, but I doubt it will run well on Switch. Let me know what your favorite trailers were!
